Hello! Welcome to Spin-y World, made for JuniperDev's very "Serious" GameJam where the theme is spin to win. I am a solo developer and this is my 2nd time participating in a jam!

How to Play

In this game you control an arcade machine that has various buttons including: move up, move down, jump, and grab. Not to mention, the golden wheel at the front which controls the camera.

The game in this arcade machine is a puzzle game of sorts. Your objective is to grab the yellow cube, and put it in the red-outlined box to power it. Once powered, the goal will activate which will be marked by red particles. Go in it to win the arcade game!

After winning, look behind you because a spinning, checkerboard, wheel/victory lift will be available to take you outside the gates. When you're outside, make you're way to the other red carpet hut because that is the actual goal to beat "Spin-y World". 

Btw, you can just ignore the very serious men looking at you ;)

Story:

You have been taken hostage by the government and dropped into a top secret location to complete the arcade game as your are the only one smart enough to do so, this is a serious matter. The government even showboated a bit and laid out a red carpet for you.

If you fail, the world explodes....maybe, they haven't gotten far enough to figure out if that's what actually happens yet. 

You are accompanied by 6 government men to make sure this task gets done. Once complete, the world is saved! Then, the government men let you go on your way.

Controls:

-Grab onto the golden wheel with the left mouse button and spin your mouse in a circle to spin the wheel. (others have said that moving your mouse up and down also works)

-You can zoom with the right mouse button.

-You can jump with the spacebar

-You can move with WASD

-For the arcade machine: I just want to let you know that when using the grab button on the yellow cube, the grab button will turn red to let you know that it's been pressed and is now active. The cube will also float in front of you. Once pressed while red, you will let go of the yellow cube.

Issues:

-Spinning the wheel is kinda awkward in terms of how it works. So, just bare with it I guess.

-The grab button is also being weird, when you try to let go of the yellow cube once it's inside the red-outlined box, giving power to it, the cube stays with you. So far, a fix I've found is to place the cube on one of the red-outlined box's corners. This should still power it and let go of the cube :)

-Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but when I play the game through the browser my camera is constantly moving without any input from my mouse. Playing in fullscreen fixes this, although full screen isn't much of a full screen lol (The aspect ratio is so broken).

-When getting on the spinning victory lift at the end, I'd recommend constantly jumping on it while it's moving so you don't get pushed off by just standing there.
